Why
We were told: study hard, and it left us in debt. Work hard, and we hit the pay gap. Start a family, and we absorbed the maternity leave penalty and the invisible caregiving load nobody accounts for. Power through, and we burned out. Underneath all four, quietly, our wealth slipped away.
Femmes, Finances & Freedom exists to give women the tools to close those gaps, not just name them. It's a day where the invisible economics of being a woman (at work, in business, alone) get made visible and actionable, for the people living it and the people employing it.

Our bar for every session: it has to connect a real health or life transition to something practical you walk away with, a policy, a plan, a number, a next step. Not just naming the problem.

What the day looks like
Main Stage
Open to everyone, all day. Panels and firesides on pay transparency, building a business honestly, and the psychology of working.
Clinics
Deep dive, lane-specific sessions (employer / employee / individual) covering pay advocacy, menopause & the workplace, caregiving, wealth building, and pension rights. Chosen at registration, not gated by ticket price.
Exhibition
An interactive floor, not banners and brochures. Live pay gap gut checks, self-assessment kiosks, and bookable speed mentoring.
Three audiences, one event
Employers building better workplaces, employees navigating pay and career, and individuals (self-employed or not) building something of their own. Centred on women's peak working years, with rights, policy, and advocacy running through every session.

A note on compensation
As a community-led event, this is a grassroots effort to change the narrative for women in Cyprus. This is an unpaid speaking opportunity, offered in exchange for professional visibility, high-res media, community impact, and strategic networking with a curated group of 100 employers, employees, individuals, and potential partners. If sponsorship comes through, we will do our best to compensate you for your time.
