Financial freedom for women, mapped to the moments that matter

FemNEST is the first platform mapping 50+ female health and life transitions, from fertility to menopause, to their real financial outcomes, so individuals, employers, and partners can act on what matters most, instead of guessing.

S M A +
130+ women already in the room
FemNEST helps women look after their money through life's biggest changes, like having a baby, losing a job, or going through menopause. It started with one woman in Cyprus who couldn't find the support she needed, so she built it herself. It's a community first, with over 130 women already sharing real stories and real support.
The problem
€436,437

Average lifetime wealth lost by a woman in Cyprus

Women earn less, take more career breaks, carry most caregiving responsibilities, and retire with 22% smaller pensions.

A lifetime of invisible penalties. No financial platform was built to solve them.

“Gender equality cannot be achieved by policy alone. It requires strong communities, open dialogue, and spaces where women can share knowledge, build confidence, and inspire one another. FemNEST represents exactly such a space.”

The framework

Mind the Gap

Every woman's financial life moves through the same six stages. At each one, a gap opens, and it cascades across a lifetime unless it's caught early.

How did this happen? Her body and life changed. Her income followed. Nobody connected the two.

This is the story FemNEST was built to change. Meet the founder living it.

Adolescence & puberty → Early career 54% Education Gap

More than half of young women enter the workforce already behind on financial literacy and confidence.

Early career → Fertility & health €0.85 Wage Gap

For every €1 a man earns, a woman doing the same work takes home €0.85, a gap that starts on day one.

Fertility & health → Maternity & pregnancy 1 in 4 Health Gap

1 in 4 women face a fertility or health challenge during this stage that comes with a real financial cost.

Maternity & pregnancy → Caregiving 16 Years Pay Gap

The pay and progression lost around motherhood adds up to the equivalent of 16 years of income over a lifetime.

Caregiving → Perimenopause & menopause 7.7M Caregiving Gap

7.7 million women across Europe step back from paid work for caregiving, and most never fully catch back up financially.

Perimenopause & menopause → Retirement 22% Pension & Wealth Gap

Every gap before this one compounds: women retire with pensions 22% smaller than men’s.

Why FemNEST exists

I founded FemNEST because I lived the gap between needing support and finding it.

I'm Serena Gasparini. Between burnout, a lifelong PCOS diagnosis, fertility treatments, and a son born with a medical condition that needed my full presence, I learned exactly how fast a woman's independence can slip away when nobody's built the tools to catch her. So I built the platform I needed and couldn't find.

The idea

What is FemNEST

FemNEST is the first platform mapping women's health and life transitions (fertility, caregiving, career breaks, menopause, loss, and more) to their real financial outcomes. It's community-first, built from lived experience, and designed to give women the knowledge, tools, and people around them to make informed financial decisions at every life stage.

Community

Peer & professional support network: a community of women living the same transitions, supported by verified professionals, online and IRL.

Education

Financial literacy tools & events: EU Pay Transparency Directive training so everyone learns their legal rights, their financial reality, and how to close the gap.

Investment Tools

Life-health-to-finance tracking, connecting 50+ female health and life transitions to personalised financial plans. No competitor has built this: it's our owned IP.

Advocacy

Data insights for employers & policymakers: aggregated, anonymised data revealing the care-finance connection, powering smarter workplace and policy interventions.

Community first

Built with the room, not for it

FemNEST is community before it's product. Real member stories, a live waitlist of 130+ women, and in-person events come first; the platform is being built around what this community actually needs, not the other way around.

In their own words

What women keep telling us

Real, anonymised answers from FemNEST's community research: not testimonials, but proof of the gap.

1 extra day off per month while being on your period — that would have really made a difference for me.”

“Employers often don't believe I'm genuinely unfit to work during my period, rather than lazy.”

“Understanding fertility when you are 25 not 35. The cost of delaying having a child can be huge — mentally, financially and otherwise.”

“Micro loans from women to women. No questions asked. Just TRUST & FUND.”

“You want more financial freedom and choices before your body quits — but you also want a pension.”

“Navigating maternity as a self-employed woman has been so hard — I have to compromise on my time with my child just because I am self-employed.”

“What's missing is a single trusted portal where women can find all relevant information in one place — not just another app.”

“At the beginning of a career, it's not just about planning for retirement — it's about planning for partners, children, divorce, caregiving, perimenopause, injury.”

More transparency — if we were open about how much we make as women, it would let others know they can do better.”

“A forum of like-minded women who want to work and create opportunities, where seasoned women are valued and appreciated.”
