Why FemNEST exists

I founded FemNEST because I lived the gap between needing support and finding it.

I'm Serena Gasparini, and my journey to this stage wasn't paved with corporate ladders, but with life-altering pivots. After years in the corporate world, I hit a wall of burnout that forced me to reclaim my time through freelancing. But life had more in store: I was simultaneously navigating the silent battle of a lifelong PCOS diagnosis and the physical toll of fertility treatments.

When I finally held my son, the joy was met with a new challenge: he was born with a medical condition that required my full presence. In those moments, carrying the emotional weight of a “no backup plan” reality, I realised how quickly a woman's independence can feel like it's slipping away. I asked myself every time: why is financial stability so hard to come by for women going through life's biggest changes?

Through Sense & Forum, my community-led marketing agency built on The DELIA Model™, I began hearing my own story reflected in hundreds of others. Whether it's health, motherhood, or career shifts, we're often one transition away from losing our footing. Based in Cyprus, where women still face systemic barriers like requiring a spouse's signature for basic banking, I built the platform I needed and couldn't find.
